In a general classification, lawsuits are divided into two types, legal lawsuits and criminal lawsuits. People who intend to file a lawsuit must determine whether the subject of the lawsuit is legal or criminal and then take the necessary legal actions based on it.

Filing a lawsuit requires preparing and submitting a petition, and in some legal cases, it requires preparing and submitting an application.

A lawsuit is filed directly in a court of law and the person who initiates the lawsuit is called the accuser and the other party is called the defendant.

In general, the procedures for dealing with a legal disputes are as follows:

1: Submitting the petition to the judicial electronic service offices and canceling the stamp and paying the court fee and referring it to the court

2: Filing the case and referring it to one of the branches of the Dispute Resolution Council or branches of legal courts according to the case

3: Filing the case in the court office and setting the hearing time

4: Hearings are held with the presence of applicant or their lawyers and the presentation of documents and bills and the recording of applicants' statements and if necessary obtaining inquiries, referring to experts, call upon the testimony of witnesses and any other action believed necessary by the court

5: Entry of a third person

6: Third person objection

7: Order or Sentence

8: Appeal if the court has ordered in absence of the accuser

9: Appeal

10: Re-trail

11: Re- Appeal

12: Complaining to the head of the judiciary and requesting a re-opening of the case according to Sharia and law.

13:  Execution of the judgment accordingly

14: Rights and lawsuits are divided into financial and non-financial. Recognizing this has effects that make it necessary to recognize it. For example, calculating the cost of proceedings and the tax stamp of a lawyer and the possibility of appeal and the right to appeal, as well as the necessity dealing with it in dispute resolution councils.
